Bears everywhere

I came across this Dustin Pike image today, which is just perfect for Teddy Stampers Challenge of Bedtime Bears.

I used the colour theme of Teal and Brown from Crafty Angels, and as I think that the subject matter is suitable for a chap, I have also included 'The boyz are back' from Crafty Cats.

I did think that I would enter it for Pollycraft's challenge too, but when I came to link it, I realised that I was too late and a new challenge has been posted! Hey Ho! Time is running away with me!

I've still got some commission baby cards to do.... I'd better press on!

This is the first time that I have made a Joy Fold card using a circle as the smaller element of the fold. I hope I've left enough for the hinge! It's always difficult to know how much to leave, so that it actually holds together but still keeps the circular shape.

The image is from Penny Black and the paper from Cuddly Buddly. The circular diecut strip is Cuttlebug and the image is mounted on Nesties.

I've just been watching the test match, so I think I'd better get back to card-making!

Back on our own

Today, we have the house back to ourselves for the first time in nearly a week. My daughter and granddaughter have returned home feeling much better, my son, who popped down on Saturday to look at a sports car has now returned home again. He decided to buy the car and so will return in about a week or so to pick it up! It's a pity he lives so far away, the M25 can be very slow at times.

Anyway, now's my chance to catch up on lots of cards. I've got commissions to do plus DT cards for various challenges!

This one is for neither... I just felt like using this image, and for it I used the Sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches #68, the theme of Happy Birthday from Little Red Wagon , the colour challenge (pink or blue with green and brown) from Simon Says Stamp and C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Blue & Green. Colour Create - Soft Green & Aqua.

The background paper has been overstamped in a similar blue shade using a crackle type stamp and the SU sentiment is mounted on an SU Word window punchie. Sadly I can't remember what the image is, except to say that it's a digi!

'Wing it you Pink Petal' is the recipe for this fortnight's challenge from Cooking it up with Katie! So the card must contain, wings, petals and pink... fairly obvious I expect!

It's also for Paperplay's Challenge is Up in the air.

The days have run away with me this week whilst looking after my family so somehow this DT card didn't get blogged on the correct day! I'm really sorry about that!

I used a couple of new things for this card. The Marianne's butterfly die is one new acquisition which I think is really pretty. The background was stamped with my new Jumbo Roller from Stampin' Up from the current mini catalogue. It's a fabulous stamp and creates beautiful backgrounds. I used gold ink on a pearlised paper to make this one. Victoria at Blue Jelly Stampin' can supply any Stampin' Up requirements you may have. Take a look at her fabulous blogs, you can't help but be inspired.

The flowers were made with Nellie Snellen Cut & Emboss punches.
